The Angels have been sharing through my work that we need to be stronger. Each time you and I get together, either when you listen, watch or read any of my work with the Angels, you are exercising your emotional and spiritual muscles. Well, our physical bodies need to be just as strong as our spiritual bodies. I was surprised when the Angels told me last year that they wanted me to share information that would motivate people to get in tip top physical shape for the Ascension in addition to helping people emotionally and spiritually. But it makes sense for my work to cover the whole of our bodies, as we are taking these bodies with us when we ascend. To help our physical bodies, it takes more than just saying affirmations and prayers to create the changes we want. They help but we need to actually move our bodies to get stronger.
The healthier and more physically fit we are, the longer we can live and enjoy our lives. That is an obvious statement but in light of the Ascension, it takes on a much deeper meaning. Do we really want to live 150 years or more in an old body where we need help for everything? Or do we want to be a 150 year old in a 30 year old body? Actually, I would be happy being in this 50 year old body! I love how I feel now with the changes I have made through food and exercise! Today, the Angels want to encourage you to look at your physical body and see if there is something you would like to do to make it healthier and stronger. We have recently shared a radio program on “Be Bulletproof – Enjoy a Healthy Body and Mind” in collaboration with Dr. Michael Bibb to cover food issues, medications, supplements and a lot more. If you haven’t listened to the program and would like to here is the link: www.BlogTalkRadio.com/christina-lunden
Here is how I have evolved into finding the perfect exercise for me to lose weight and also get stronger. I have been on a consistent exercise plan for the last 5 years however, everything I did seem to have no positive effect on my body. As I shared in the “Be Bulletproof – Enjoy a Healthy Body and Mind” radio program, food was a major factor that was interfering with my progress. But even after correcting that, my workouts were not helping me to lose weight. In fact, I only gained weight.
For those of you that have been following my work, you may remember that I ended up with a severe staph infection after a surgery in 2010. I have never been so weak. I wasn’t able to even get up out of a chair without help. I made a promise to myself then that I would do everything I could to never be in a position where I had to depend on someone for all of my needs. It was awful!
I recovered from that to find out that during surgery my left shoulder had been hurt and it had frozen. I had never heard of a frozen shoulder but it is exactly what it sounds like, my shoulder was frozen in a position and would not move. I prayed for a healing, went to a few months of physical therapy and eventually conceded that the healing would come through having another surgery. Yes, sometimes we do get our healings through doctors and surgeons. I had the surgery in October 2011. But even after the easy, successful surgery (I don’t know why I waited so long) I still could not lift the milk out of the refrigerator myself with my left arm. I remember being so excited when I was having a physical therapy session and I was finally able to lift the 2 pound weight!
Two months after my shoulder surgery, in December 2011, my son Chase came for a visit and showed me some exercises that he said would help me. We spent the next few days before he had to fly home to Hawaii having him guide me through these CrossFit type exercises. I loved it! I did the same exercises as he did, he just scaled down the weights to be something I could actually do and modified the exercises for me too. For instance, I couldn’t do a push up on the floor. So while he was doing them on the floor, I did them against a wall instead. (Later, I graduated to doing them on the stairs and then eventually could do them on the floor.) If he was going to lift 150 pounds of weight, I would do the same lift using 35 pounds. And so on. All the exercises can be done by anyone, young or old through the modifications.
The CrossFit type workouts from day to day are not the same so there is no way to get bored. Each day I received an email with what the workout would be or I could go to his website and look at it myself. We start out with strength training, lifting weights (barbells or kettle bells, any weights) and then move to the workout of the day (WOD). So a sample day may start out with a warm up of jumping rope 200 times, 20 lunges and throwing a weighted ball. The strength training may be lifting a barbell to find out how much you can lift five times. Once you find that weight, you might do 3 rounds of lifting 80% of that weight. Then for the exercise, you might time yourself doing 3 rounds of a 200 meter run, 20 sit ups and 10 pushups. The reason you time yourself is to see your own improvement. You are not competing against anyone else; you are only recording it to see your improvement. I have done these workouts at home and in a gym. I prefer home since I can’t come up with as many excuses of why I can’t work out. Three months after starting these exercises, I was down two pant sizes!
At Chase’s guidance, I no longer focused on weighing myself but instead he encouraged me to measure myself. So on July 1st, I took my measurements. After doing these CrossFit exercises three to four times a week when I measured again on August 1st, I had lost 5½ inches off of my body. That was just in one month!
These CrossFit workouts have been an amazing answer to my years of praying to be stronger and lose weight. By the way, I just deadlifted 115 pounds! I was able to lift 115 pounds five times in a row! That is amazing considering 12 months ago; I couldn’t lift the milk out of the refrigerator!
This was the answer for me and my way of finally losing weight and becoming stronger. It won’t be the answer for everyone. The Angels wanted me to share my story with you and hopefully encourage some of you to take that important step of beginning an exercise program; any exercise plan / program is better than none. It is important at this time of Ascension for us to all become physically healthy and strong to complete our task on the highest and easiest path.
