My Angel Tells Me: A Poem by mylightwarrior

I open my wings and I blaze with light
A penetrating love of the Angels delight
Feel the warmth of my soft call
I carry the tone of humility for all

I never leave your side
My love endures all time
Each moment I see your potential
And point the way, you shall not fail

Within my eyes are wisdom and truth
I look at you with piercing love
A love without condition or want
You gain strength in my gaze

I am your guardian and friend
I am a warrior for your peace
I seek abundance for you
Together we create love

Kahlil Gibran: When Love Beckons to You, Follow Him

How could we hear one line of Gibran (1) and not hear the rest?

When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams
as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God’s sacred feast.

Janice Collins: This Morning I Am

This Morning I Am

This morning I am the tree outside this window
Then I am this very window itself
I saw myself in the puffy clouds today
And heard my own whisper in the wind
When I was the anger in that far argument
And I was all the walking in that summer park
The trees were me, the streets were me!
I was the rain and grass and leaves
And in each person, there were my own aspects
And so tonight, even this rebel mind suspects
That God is me!

The Man Watching

Rainer Maria Rilke, Rainer Maria Rilke poetry, Secular or Eclectic, Secular or Eclectic poetry, poetry, [TRADITION SUB2] poetry, poetryAnother enlightenment poem, this time by Rainer Maria Rilke.

by Rainer Maria Rilke (1875 – 1926)

http://www.poetry-chaikhana.com/R/RilkeRainerM/ManWatching.htm

English version by Robert Bly

Original Language: German

I can tell by the way the trees beat, after
so many dull days, on my worried windowpanes
that a storm is coming,
and I hear the far-off fields say things
I can’t bear without a friend,
I can’t love without a sister

The storm, the shifter of shapes, drives on
across the woods and across time,
and the world looks as if it had no age:
the landscape like a line in the psalm book,
is seriousness and weight and eternity.

What we choose to fight is so tiny!
What fights us is so great!
If only we would let ourselves be dominated
as things do by some immense storm,
we would become strong too, and not need names.

When we win it’s with small things,
and the triumph itself makes us small.
What is extraordinary and eternal
does not want to be bent by us.
I mean the Angel who appeared
to the wrestlers of the Old Testament:
when the wrestler’s sinews
grew long like metal strings,
he felt them under his fingers
like chords of deep music.

Whoever was beaten by this Angel
(who often simply declined the fight)
went away proud and strengthened
and great from that harsh hand,
that kneaded him as if to change his shape.
Winning does not tempt that man.
This is how he grows: by being defeated, decisively,
by constantly greater beings.

St. John of the Cross: For All the Beauty There May Be

by St. John of the Cross

From Willis Barnstone,  trans., The Poems of Saint John of the Cross. New York: New Directions, 1972; c1968.

For all the beauty there may be
Ill never throw away my soul;
only for something I dont know
that one may come on randomly.

In savoring a finite joy
the very most one can expect
is to enfeeble and destroy our taste,
leaving the palate wrecked;
for all the sweetness there may be
Ill never throw away my soul;
only for something I dont know
that one may come on randomly.

A generous heart will never care
to go part way;
it wont be cowed
if there is passage anywhere,
but set out on the hardest road;
nothing can cause it misery,
and with faith soaring like a cloud
it feeds on something I dont know
that one may come on randomly.

Janice Collins: Suddenly, by Grace

still me, hold me,

while I wrap you in my softness,
insides crying, lying here with you
beside this morning’s distant memory
where once we came together,
we came together! do you remember?

now, in this morning’s light and wondering,
I seem to see you there again,
those sighs, our breathing quick – uncaring
about the morning and light
it was just night
wrapped in each little finger touch we shared

but who cares? what does it matter?
this bitter chatter is only the mind
and so I say to my heart, “find me
take me to where you are
show me what love would do
with these moments quite simply, so few!”

and my heart answers:  ”I say
away with memory, or hope for later
or any thinking of nonexisting time,
come, let’s flee together to Now,
- to Its delights
not even knowing why or how
just one instant’s letting go
can bring such bliss!”

so armed with this, I whisper: “lover
so tender – your fingertip touch,
your waking glance and sweet little hugs
these morning touches are soooo enough,
enough – could make this whole lifetime new
should I be totally one with you”

SO BEAUTIFUL – OUR SPACE AND SKIES A GLOBAL ANTHEM* BY BILLY MAC – NOV. 2001

*These words were written to the music of: “America, The Beautiful”

So beautiful, our space and skies when viewed from this earth plane
Its awesome sights can mesmerize as we walk its grand terrain
This earth we’re on keeps spinning on
With its sun and its galaxy.
Whirling – thru its space never out of place
With a sense of majesty.

So beautiful our skies and space, when viewed from this earth place
The stars and lights, that surround its flight, let us ponder with delight
Earth stays its course Earth knows its source
Moving with a silent force.
Traveling through dark space with its human race
Hoping for their unity.

So beautiful, our space and skies, when viewed from this earth plane
The heart of earth can sense our pain and it causes earth to strain
Earth spins around looking quite profound
Wanting us, to all calm down.
It will mirror our peace making storms decrease
And reflect our harmony.

So beautiful, our planet earth on which we do not know our worth
Can we live in peace, causing pain to cease on this planet of our birth
Earth stays its course Earth knows its source
Taking us on a tour de force
Whirling – thru its space, with its human race
With a sense of majesty.

So beautiful our space and skies when viewed thru stress-free eyes
Can the human race, actually keep in pace, with the grandeur of our skies
Can we shine our light like the stars at night
Keeping love foremost in sight?
Can we – memorialize our space and skies
With our oneness and dignity?

*These words were written to the music of: “America, The Beautiful”
By: Katharine Lee Bates and Samuel A. Ward.
It can be found in almost every Hymn book in the U.S.ofA.

Janine Jansma – The Tide has Turned

http://oraclesandhealers.wordpress.com/2012/05/09/from-janine-jansma-592012/

The tide has turned

Can you feel the shift?

No longer creating by default

No longer just adrift

Our ship run by purposeful being

Accountability the mast

Gliding through calm waters

Having let go of the past

The best is yet to come, it’s true

Can you feel it too?

Reaching the shore intact -

Better than that – brand new!

Lucas – Poem – Do Not Fear – 19 April 2012

http://lucas2012infos.wordpress.com/2012/04/19/lucas-poem-do-not-fear-19-april-2012/

Do not fear

Do not fear for I am always with you. Do not fear your own insights as they are your truths. Do not fear as you will have the power over your life as it knows no boundaries.  Do not fear to go inside and experience  that what is you on an other level.  Do not fear your connection with your source. Do not fear the way others see you. Do not fear to connect with others as they are just reflections of the One. Do not fear fear itself as it is just an expression of a role played on lives stage. Do not fear anything or everyone as it is all One with you.  Do not fear….

I AM fearless, I AM Love.

Love and Light,

Lucas

Divine Journey - A Poem by Mylightwarrior

From this point a beginning seen
Immersed deep in the fog of time
Over and over we seek
A light, a call and strength of love
In time we prevail a flame is found
Sometimes bright and others not seen

A journey so long and so far
Sometimes you feel it in many ways
From a single point all time is still
Looking forward and back now
Finding a shadow in the stillness
Its outline calms the heart

Look in my eyes now
See the depth of my soul
Journey with the open heart
A feeling, an emotion, an energy
A long winding path
Choices good or bad show the way

Seek now to be pure
From this point your will see
In the moment, time is still
Open your heart, feel your love
An act of joyful bliss
Completed in divine love

Within this act there is no fear
Unity and compassion
Virtues that are near
Find your map, check the way
The journey is long
It is closer each day

As I look back I see
All the choices made and understand
Gods love will always stand
My mission is now clear
All fear gone, with the ego past
Too begin and end in the heart of one

Creations Song - A Poem by mylightwarrior

Creations Song

Sunlight shining through
air, clouds and morning dew
A bird sings
heart felt, not forlorn or blue
I see, I hear
divinity is drawing near
A love, a song, a hymn
music in my ear
An energetic symphony
abounds for all

Life renews, harmony swells
a living river
A director of love
swimming conscious notes
as below we see above
Lyrics of life
Harmony in form
The creator has blessed
our journey of love
